Sidi Bou Said

Sidi Bou Said is a small village situated on a northern-east cliff of Tunis. The city’s name was inspired originally from a Muslim Saint named Abou Said El Baji.

It is considered as “little Greece” due to its architecture: whitewashed walls are synchronized with blue arched doors and traditional curved windows. It said that at the beginning of the 20th century, the Baron Rodolphe Von Erlanger suggested to paint the city into white and blue.

Places to visit: Cafes des Nattes, a favorite place for artists and young generation, the village’s Mosque, and the Lighthouse, date back to the 9th century.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see the sunset above the Gulf of Tunis!
