Dar Chaabane
In Dar Chaabane highly-skilled stone carvers pass on the secrets of their craft from father to son. The visitor can see these men at work as they carve the soft limestone which comes from the local area. Their cut and carved columns, capitals, bases, and door and window frames can be seen all over the country. Tunisians have a great taste for the ornamental and like to decorate their homes with these architectural motifs.
